Every business goes through phases.
The first phase of Lairgate Financial was about establishing what the business is. Getting authorised. Building relationships with clients. Working out what a good financial advice firm actually looks like in practice — not in theory, not from a textbook, but in the real experience of working with real people and their real money.
That took a decade. It involved changes along the way — to the team, to the structure, to the space we work from. Some of those changes were planned. Some were not. All of them contributed to the business becoming what it is now.
What is different about this phase
The business knows what it is. That sounds simple but it takes time to get there.
We know who we work best with — people who want honest advice from someone who will take their finances seriously and deal with them properly. We know how we work — carefully, methodically, with everything explained clearly and nothing implemented until it is genuinely understood. We know what we are for — helping people understand their financial position and make decisions that are right for their circumstances.
That clarity has come from experience. From the clients we have worked with over ten years. From the decisions we have made well and the ones we have had to learn from. From understanding, over time, what this business actually is.
What this phase looks like in practice
A new office at The Hall on Lairgate — a better environment for the work. An updated brand that reflects the business as it actually is rather than an earlier version of it. A team that is the right size and the right shape for where we are now.
None of that is a reinvention. It is the business settling into itself properly after ten years of building the foundations.
For clients old and new
If you have been with us for years, you already know what we do and how we do it. Nothing about that changes.
If you are considering working with us for the first time, what you are looking at is a business that has spent ten years getting clear about what good financial advice actually involves. That clarity is what this phase is built on.
That is what the next chapter looks like.
